JY\Z[W] MEDITATION ]W[Z\YJ

”Prayer is speaking to God.  Meditation is quietly listening to God”
With various methods of meditation it is possible to experience and explore different levels of consciousness.  According to their personal preferences, participants can take part either sitting or lying down.  The most important thing is that the physical body should not provide any distraction.  For everyone who is prepared to open their hearts, meditation offers the possibility for personal discovery and learning experiences.  Experience shows that participants may experience one or more of the following:

-

Achieve physical relaxation

-

Find calmness and tranquillity within themselves

-

Learn to feel, to open and to close their own energy centres (Chakras)

-

Perceive colours, images, symbols, etc

-

Undertake meditative journeys

-

Experience spiritual self-healing

-

Connect with the spiritual world and to the divine
To experience any one of these means to have achieved a worthwhile goal.  In any group, it can happen that some are successful in achieving physical relaxation while others, in addition, may undertake a meditative journey.  Meditation is not a competition and therefore there can be no winners or losers.  Everyone experiences that which is right for him or her at that moment in time.  The main thing is that, after the meditation, everyone feels better than beforehand and has managed to come a little closer to the divine
